Alan, We need to use a parameter in the informix.ini file mcblockmode=2 otherwise we get a similar error. Connecting to 2 databases on the remote server causes no problems. Connecting to the local database or the remote database cause no problems either. But having 2 connections at the same time report connection/permission problems. We have changed the code not to use GetImplicitConnection() anymore but this doesn't change anything. Any ideas ?
