web server, web datablade configuration

anyone have experience with having the web server on a different machine such as a remote solaris platform, and have the db instance and web datablade on another machine and platform , such as a hp 10.20? as far as i know - we need iconnect or sdk on the web server side, and modify the obj.conf created there to point to shared library on the other machine(?). is this correct? anyone have a config file to look at which subscribes to the above problem? and on the instance side, the web blade module ( with setup or websetup in web4.0/extend/install) and data director for the client pc side ( with iconnect or sdk for that client as well). thanks for you support ed
