Are there any problems ? Well, If I recall correctly - the esqlc preprosesor is just a UNIX shell script (which in turn calls other (non-script) tools) which calls a 'code' prepressor. We had an Informix consultant come in for a few days and tipped us off on this one - we have played around with this....It seemed to work fine...If I recall there is a environment var at the very tippy top of the esqlc script where you can specify the appropriate preprocessor - in our case - HP-UX 9.0x, OL 7.1x, we simply switched from 'cc' to 'CC'..... However - since c++ is a bit stricter about things - there are a ton more warnings/errors generated by CC than by cc....much of which was in esql *.h files.... Not a big deal....
