Anyway, it's more like a Novell server than a UNIX box. Excuse mee Billy, but you are wrong here. NT as an os is much more like Unix than like Novell. It lacks a multi user terminal interface, but appart from that it isn't so bad. Novell isn't much more than a file and printer server appart from the option of running NLM's which generally isn't a good idea when you want to do serious database work. To answer the persons question: Yes you can still use the NT server for any other purpose while the database is running. Whether you will want to or not isn't unlike the same question on a Unix machine.
