What are the permissions on the directory? BTW, I've used PSORT_DBTEMP to do sorting to filesystems. Is your variable correct? The query is a select statement retrieving a large number of rows . I set DBTEMP in my env. to "/tmp" or some other directory on a file system which has space and permissions , still I get this error. However , I do not get this error if I run the application as "root". I do not get this error if I run the query in DBACCESS as any user or root. Any thoughts ????? SE 7.2 running on ScoUnix Ver5.02.
