Re: transactions between two databases different instances same sever

full server was stopped with a power cut. When we power on server again I started both instances A and B. On instance B we had one rollback and On instance A we had several commits but 0 rollbacks. there weren't opend transactions and 0 bad locks. I didn't review onlog. Both instances are OK, My theory is Each instance manage its own logs, so when crash happended in certain point of that operation one of the instances marks that its part of transaction is completed, but in other instance a transaction was started but never commited, so this other instance made a rollback. thanks for your help and advices.

Check the manual section on 2 Phase Commit and Heuristic rollback. There should be a message somewhere in the online logs if this happened...else that is a bug and needs to be reported to IBM..
