I could accept a warning.... We have been bitten in some cases when updating our Informix software that suddenly previously-valid names became reserved words and broke our code. In the 4.10 products, Informix seemed to intentionally make their grammars more context-sensitive to allow what you did above for us poor slobs who are trying to preserve our previous work.
