VP Notify mechanism incomplete after 5 minutes

Question: We are receiving the two errors below. Has anyone else received these and what was the course of action? The OS is AIX 6.1.0.0 and IDS version 9.40.UC3. We have two instances on the same server, which one has synonyms pointing to the other. The application is probably using a TCP/IP connection. Question: Should they utilize a shared memory connection with being on the same server or is that not necessary? Ernest, Check out this link: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21237045 Looks like the NET VP or CPU VP listening on TLI is hung. The post is from a Solaris installation, so the response about patches may be spurious, but the symptom and immediate cause is valid. Again, it's time to upgrade. Art Art S.
