Hello Franklin,
What version of Informix are you using? I'm not an Informix expert by any means. However, I believe there is a bug in Informix 7 servers that results in these 243 errors. Additionally, this error seems to be associated with lock collisions. You may want to set your process's LOCK MODE to WAIT (EXEC SQL SET LOCK MODE TO WAIT 60;), if you haven't done so already.
