However, some things for you to check are: 1) Does PB offer native Informix support? If you have to go through ODBC you might run into performance and other hassles. 2) My experience of PB indicates a GUI with scripting behind it. NewEra is a fully featured language - you're not dependent on the Window Painter for code maintenance, etc. Also NE offers full object orientation, with the ability to extend the language with classes, application partitioning, etc. IMHO, NewEra is a bit of a waste on Mickey Mouse type apps - it's better suited to your kind of environment than smaller requirements. PB _seemed_ better suited to smaller environments.
