onstat -g ckp - conv/rev ???
Posted in 2010
A user saw a checkpoint in 'onstat -g ckp' with trigger '*Conv/Rev' on a live production server where no version upgrade or maintenance was running, and asked what caused it. Replies explained that the Trigger column shows who requested the checkpoint, and that 'Conv/Rev' (conversion/reversion) isn't limited to version upgrades: IBM support noted several code paths raise it, notably altering a table from RAW to STANDARD. Another poster suggested checking/disabling CONVERSION_GUARD. The poster agreed a raw-to-standard conversion by another user was plausible but could not confirm it without SQL tracing, so no definitive cause was established.

Hello Cesar!
Is it a new version, like XC6 ??? Did you check your CONVERSION_GUARD
variable????
Just a tip, try to disable it, I had some troubles after running FC7
with it enabled, ok?
Best regards!

Hi Jacques,
Could be.. I can't confirm just now , because I don't have sql trace active at
the moment. But this is possible (others users using the system have
privileges to do this).
Thank you for your answer!
