UNLOAD and backslashes

Informix 7.23.UC4 HPUX 10.01 I've looked through the manual, I've perused the archives, but I have yet to find an answer to a problem. I'm using SQL to gather information into a temp table, then unload the data from the temp table to an ASCII file, to be loaded into an Oracle table. We have various pieces of char information that contains backslashes. It appears that Informix will escape any backslashes in an unload file. The Oracle load errors out due to this situation. Is there any way around this short of updating the information within the table?
