Fast Recovery (CKPT REQ) --- Blocked:CKPT

Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.31.FD1 SunOS 5.8 I am trying to restore from tape with onbar -r but the server keeps on going into a blocked mode. The server status is shown as : "Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.31.FD1 -- Fast Recovery (CKPT REQ) -- Up 01:36:50 -- 1332224 Kbytes Blocked:CKPT" I have also noticed a message saying : "Dynamic Server Initialization failure. WARNING! Logical log layout may cause Dynamic Server to get into a locked state. Recommended smallest logical log size is 2 times maximum concurrent user threads." How can I solve these problems. This is very urgent!!!! Your prompt response will be highly appreciated. Please Help !!!!! Flip

Don't Panic!!!! Don't Panic!!! And don't use so many exclamation marks!!! If you are restoring, then it probably is trying to replay a whole bunch of transactions and that is taking some time. If you are really worried, call IBM Informix technical support. "Dynamic Server Initialization failure. WARNING! Logical log layout may cause Dynamic Server to get into a locked state. Recommended smallest logical log size is 2 times maximum concurrent user threads." This means you either need to add more logical logs or make them bigger.
