Any suggestions? Is there something blindingly obvious > I'm missing here! No. You're not missing anything. When I worried about it, I created a pair of functions, push_helpfile() and pop_helpfile(), which managed a stack of help file names. All the code in the programs was required to use these to set and restore the help file context. Yes, it is a long standing need, along with query functions for most other attributes, and a few oddballs like being able to find the current window name in a string and then being able to set that window back to the current again. Most of these features are available in D4GL, thank goodness. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v1.00.PC1 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
