Baan simply folded the license costs into your Baan purchase. Informix (or IBM) did get paid for your original license. It really is time to relicense. IDS 11.50 is significantly faster than 7.31 and has many excellent features that you are not taking advantage of currently. Art S. It could be that they want to migrate to the later 7.31xx release so that they can migrate easier. Baan resold Informix and didn't OEM it. They have products certified on IDS 11, but I'm not sure if it's "Baan"... I'm involved in a Baan migration to IDS 11.10. Unfortunately at the time the project begun 11.50 was not certified...
