I have presented twice at WAIUG. Invited by participants in this group. I am mentoring an IDS engine developer. I actually read the IDS documentation I have participated in IIUG meetings. Technology transfer is a two way street. If you had downloaded IDS Cheetah as I recommended you may have discovered LBAC. You may also have found many optimizer/statistics improvements developed considering DB2 experiences. Lastly you would have found that IDS Cheetah is a DRDA server. Let me remind you of the quote that started this sub thread: "I teach databases at a university." (Daniel Morgan, June 1 in response to a dissing by Jack Parker.. a pretty nice and level headed guy. Takes a lot of abuse to get Jack angry) It is not you who counts the strikes. You are just another player. But this sub thread has been going on way to long. You have the last word. I have no doubt you'll use it. Cheers Serge -- Serge Rielau DB2 Solutions Development IBM Toronto Lab

No, what were they again?

Statistics collection on index creation comes readily to mind. Our LEO (Learning optimizer) experience is a wider topic. Not sure how much of that is both made it into IDS 11 as well as visible to the public read: can disclosed. Cheers Serge -- Serge Rielau DB2 Solutions Development IBM Toronto Lab
