Jeff - PDQPRIORITY = 1 will supposedly enable parallal scans only, which is probably perfect for your situation. The other thing is that for KAIO to work, your OS must support it and Informix must use it. We have it on Sun/Solaris, not sure what other platforms it's available on, but I gather it makes a big difference. I haven't tried AIOVP's instead, might be an interesting experiment someday...greg.
