hi all,
my logical log files are saved to file (each logical log is one file)
LTAPEDEV =/tmp/logfile will be removed each time after back up
with ontape -a
The Problem is that informix crashes when i try to recover them. The 1st
one will be read successfully
but then informix get offline.
this is what my logfile shows after the rootdbs has been restored :
--

How are you attempting the restore? If via script know that ontape will
prompt for the next tape/file each time it finishes a file. All logs need
to be restored in a single ontape session so unless you are using a
sophisticated expect script to manage the ontape session you will need to
run the restore by hand.
