Anyone do FDDI lately?

Hello Netters! I'm a consultant working for a company with about 1000 employees. I am responsibile for developing a plan to convert from Ethernet to another network architecture. This is because the traffic on the LAN is causing alot of collisions. Money is not a problem, so the emphasis is on what is the best technical solution. Some people say I should consider Token Ring, some say FDDI, some say stay with Ethernet. I've done this once before and in that case I created a FDDI backbone with router links to both Token Ring user rings and two Ethernet legacy rings (in the older building). It worked pretty good since I was able to do most of the data transfer from AS/400s and 3090s on the FDDI backbone to the PC servers without much network bottleneck. I would like to do something similar here. What are your recommendations? Johnny Green Sealy, TX 75051.416@compuserve.com
