backing up ids 7.20 on nt 4 sp3 with veritas netbackup or veritas

hello world, we're running an ids 7.20 te6 on nt4 sp3. we also want to use our current backup tools veritas netbackup 3GA or backup exec 7.2, both running on nt servers, to backup the ids. is there someone who knows if this works. unforntunantely on vertias' internet site i have not found any hint about this. tia marco P.S. is ids 7.20 te6 millenium compliant ? if not, what are the problems and how to solve it ?

You can use Your tools if You want to, but... 1. If backing up the orginal files located standard in \\IFMXDATA\\... You should bring IDS to mode quiescent or offline, otherwise You will run into problems file access. 2. When working with database with transaction logging, You have to backup the logical logs independently with informix own tools. Of course, You can backup logical logs to hard drive and save these backup-files with Your tools. Wolfgang
