Hi Everybody, I am trying to do the following: Created an ActiveX exe (unattended etc) which opens a Informix OLE/DB connection to an Informix Database 7.03 on SCO Unix. Relocate the ActiveX exe to a NT Server 4.0 (SP5) Register as DCOM Server Create the Class in an ActiveX exe in a user document running in IE5 I then get the following error. esqlauth.dll failed authorisation. Can someone please help Doons Geldenhuys

Try this: Export sqlhosts entries by running INFORMIXDIR\\bin\\regcopy.exe. Also check that username and password you are giving the provider are the same as in sqlhosts entry.
