Marina, Recently we evaluated a number of ODBC products for this task. One point I would like to make is that if you intend to use PC-INET on the same machines as the ODBC client then choose your product carefully. I-NET requires a particular version of winsock.dll, which conflicts with the winsock.dll required by some of the ODBC vendors products. Of the products tested, 2 worked in our environment. These were: 1) Visionware SQL-Retriever. Contact rickyd@visionware.co.uk for more information. 2) Intersolv Q+E (requires INET). The best, in our opinion, was SQL-Retriever. Be sure however to evaluate the products in YOUR environment before committing yourself to a major purchase. Mark Denham BBC London, UK Mark.Denham@bbc.co.uk
