If you're on HP, they're useless and you can just delete them. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Get more from the Web. Whoa there with deleting the HP shmdumps without checking with tech support first. I've debugged problems on HP via shmem dumps in the past. (Actually debugged one HP shmdump that I had on my laptop while enroute from Shanghai China to Sydney Australia. - I'd already seen the movie.... ;-) ) I'd compress the shmdump files and then check with tech support prior to deleteing them. ;-) Obnoxio The Clown wrote: > From: Woi Yew Fong <yfwoi@tpl.com.sg> > > > >I noticed that there are these files shmem.xxxxx(xxxx- some alpha numeric > >numbers).0 created and they occupied a very huge disk space.
