Shared memory creation during oninit process

Here is the scenario:
We are running RedHat 6.1 (build 2.2.5-15) w/IDS 7.30.UC7. We have
installed [it] successfully twice, however, after the initial config of
the sqlhosts and onconfig files and during the execution of the "oninit
-i", we get the following error:
"oninit: Fatal error in shared memory creation"
Could someone point me in the right direction on fixing this? Is it a
Linux or Informix problem? Thank you.

Try reducing SHMVIRTSIZE and try it again. I feel some of the resources you have
allocated are bit high.
Also further analysis, it will be good if you post your ONCONFIG to the group.

I am posting my online.log, onconfig, and sqlhosts files. Hopefully
this will help in determining what's wrong. Thanks again in advance!

Didn't see the above tread, but anyway:)
Start informix with -v too se where shit happens: "oninit -v"
Use ipcs to see shared memory segments: "ipcs -m"
Use ipcrm to remove shared memory segments: "man ipcrm"

The number in brackets is the errno value returned by shmget. On most
UNIXes errno 17 is "File exists", which in errno.h is EEXIST. If you check
the man page for shmget you will see that it returns EEXIST when the shared
memory segment already exists in memory. This is probably due to an earlier
attempt to bring the engine up with parameters which were too large or some
such. Use ipcs to list shared memory segments and semaphores and delete any
owned by group informix using ipcrm. Then try oninit again with the -v flag
included to get a better idea of where it is if it crashes again.
