database reporting tools

Hello Everyone; I am currently doing research on two classes of database reporting tools which will work with Informix, either vi ODBC or native. The first group will be your run of the mill report writer type class such as Crystal Reports, Borland Report Smith etc...These are basic report writer tools. The second are the more complex tools such as Brio, Hummingbird Bi-Query, SAS, etc which atypically are used for Data Warehousing, Data Mining but can also be used to write reports. I am really looking for a third party out of the box type solution. I understand that 4GL, ESQL-C, PERL etc can do these tasks. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank You

Hi! Class 1: Sybase Infomaker (free deployment, if it matters to you). Class 2: Cognos Impromptu and Powerplay (OLAP, not report writer). HTH Michael "Thomas L.
