Packet decode for informix

Hi All I have installed the Informix Dynamic Server 10.00 version and the client used is the DB-Access utility. Can anybody inform me about the packet structure for Informix. Decode for the packets which goes over TCP. I could just identify that the second byte in the request can be a code which maps to a function. Could anyone give more information on this? Is there any way to identify the response from the server corresponding to a request? The format of the response data from the server Please give me any suggestions Thank u Anj

These packet structures are likely to be company confidential information Informix has a CLI interface if you want to develop applications that communicate with the database at a low level. I believe this is part of Informix Client SDK. If you need information at a lower level then I suspect tyou will need an NDA with IBM after discussing your particular business opportunity
