Hello Bob
Are any other error messages displayed ???
I've experienced many problems with dbimport with Informix Turbo and
Online (Version 3, 4 and 5 ) using medium to large databases. Here's
some things to check out first !!
1) Are you restoring into the correct DBSPACE ?
2) Check that the environment variable 'DBTEMP' is pointing to a large
free directory/mount point to allow for sorting.
3) Try removing the 'create index' statements from the ?.sql script
and create them later.
4) You may have a corrupt row in a table ?
5) Check the syntax of your ?.sql script.
Personally I never use dbexport to tape because of the problems I've
experienced over the years. At least when the data is in filestore
you can edit it or load it in a bit at a time using 'load' or dbload'.
