Hi, We hae Linux Redhat 6.5 X86_64 and IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 12.10.FC3E I get lots of this kind of error messages, where could i start finding reason for them? 15:36:05 fragment estimate_compression Partition is not in a consistent state for partnumber 5243371 15:36:05 ERROR: admin_fragment_command('fragment estimate_compression ','5243371') failed 15:36:05 fragment estimate_compression Partition is not in a consistent state for partnumber 5243372 15:36:05 ERROR: admin_fragment_command('fragment estimate_compression ','5243372') failed 15:36:05 fragment estimate_compression Partition is not in a consistent state for partnumber 5243401 15:36:05 ERROR: admin_fragment_command('fragment estimate_compression ','5243401') failed 15:36:05 fragment estimate_compression Partition is not in a consistent state for partnumber 5243414 15:36:05 ERROR: admin_fragment_command('fragment estimate_compression ','5243414') failed T. Matti:
First thing to try is to run an oncheck -cDI on each of the complaining
partnums. If you want to stop the messages, then disable the compression
estimator task in sysadmin:ph_task,

Matti Jaatinen Response: If you want to stop the messages, you can check Art's post. The message itself sounds worse then it actually is. In the code it looks like we are checking some flags on the partition, and if we see those flags, we report this message (the flags being roughly things like is the partition flagged as being dropped, is the partition a temp table usr or system, or is it being cleaned by btcleaner). I would check to see if those partitions are related to timeseries tables or containers. I believe this could be the issue. The message is completely harmless. John F.
