I4gl Ring Menus help: Using Arrow Keys with Ring Menus.
Posted in 1993
Here is a question on setting up ring menus. I have a screen which lists rows from a table, and I have the arrow keys set up to scroll up and down the list. Now I need to throw up a ring menu on top of this list. I do this using the menu command og I4GL. So far so good. But once the menu comes up, the arrow keys stop scrolling the list and start moving through the options of the ring menu. All keyboard input is directed towards the menu. I need to be able to scroll up and down the list while the menu is displayed, and make a selection from the menu (say Add) using the first character of the menu command ('A' in this case). I need functionality similar to the Alter Table option of ISQL. BTW is ISQL implemented using 4GL? If it can be done in ISQL, I should be able to do it somehow. Appreciate any and all responses on this matter. I am using I4GL V4.00.
