Lower the LRU_MAX_DIRTY and LRU_MIN_DIRTY so that LRU writes will occur more frequently. The only trade-off is that you'll incur more disk i/o, but sessions will not wait. Unlike checkpoints which basically blocks sessions from entering critical section.
