how to define remote server's table

Hi , I had to connect to the remote database in 4gl . local server&db is : db1@local remote server & db is : db2@remote in 4gl program : $ cat test.4gl database db1 main define q record like db2@remote:systables.*end It won't pass the compile . How should I solve this problem ?

try: create synonym in local db: dbaccess db1 <<! create synonym mysystables for db2@remote:systables;! then in 4gl use mysystables.
