Anyway, I do not know why you are having a problem I have sysdbspaces in both systables and systabauth and it has public select permissions. I have no trouble querying from anyuser. Are you using IDS 7.xx? Are you looking in database 'sysmaster'? Was someone mucking around and destroyed sysmaster? Art S. Kagel
