Year 2000 and clarification of Informix official statement

Hi All, I have been faxed a copy of Informix's official Year 2000 statement and I would like clarification on a couple of points. The statement says that "All Informix products are Year 2000 compliant". Would this include versions of RDS V4, SQL V4 and SE V4? I hope so...guess what we're on :-) The statement goes on to describe the DBCENTURY environment variable, much of what makes sense. Our Informix products are at version 4 and the operating system, AIX, is year 2000 compliant. This being the case, even though we will not have use of the DBCENTURY variable, will we be ok accepting 2 digit years? All our date columns are defined as DATE columns and I am presuming that Informix looks up the century from the operating system and correctly posts the century to any DATE columns. Am I right?
