Hi, >SQL from the command line A while back I was playing with the use of a named pipe, without looking it up i remember it was along the lines of a) make a pipe with the mknode -p option /dev/mypipe b) service this with a command along the lines of isql - - < /dev/mypipe & c) then i could do things like echo " select mycol from mytable " > /dev/mypipe and get the answers back.
