Informix 10.00.UC8 and Solaris 2.8 (soon to be 11.latest and Solaris 10 can't wait...) The onploaderr.X file seems to get created for every HPL load or unload job that we run. I cannot find documentation to help me control where this file is created. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike
Mike This is controlled by DUMPDIR in your onconfig file. (Same as the location of af files) Regards, --- On Mon, 9/22/08, MIKE MAGIE <jmmagie@yahoo.com> wrote: > From: MIKE MAGIE <jmmagie@yahoo.com> > Subject: File /tmp/onploaderr.X [13464] > To: ids@iiug.org > Date: Monday, September 22, 2008, 11:56 AM > Informix 10.00.UC8 and Solaris 2.8 (soon to be 11.latest and > Solaris 10 can't > wait...) > > The onploaderr.X file seems to get created for every HPL > load or unload job > that we run. Hi Mike
I dug around and found some more info.
If the special (onarchive) background mode is requested,
place onpload into the background and proceed. Then onpload can't send output
to the tty. It will send output to a file under /tmp/.
