What can I do to fix this? Investigate the -nln, -g and -G options documented in the 5.00 and 6.00 ESQL/C Manuals. These suppress line numbering in the generated C, and mean that the debugger will give you accurate positioning in the converted C file. It is usually not to hard to map these back to your original ESQL/C code. Alternatively, leave the line numbers in the C, but post-process it with sed to convert them into comments: sed -e 's%^[ ]*#[ ]*line.*%/* & */%' This leaves you signposts back to the ESQL/C source code, but again doesn't confuse the debugger.
