Help! Problem sharing .dat and .idx files

I need help to resolve this problem: I'm using Informix-SE 7.20 UD7 on Linux 5.1 Kernel 2.0.35 I have 2 databases that share access to same table, in this way: Invoices are created by a 4GL program storing in a table that belongs to this database. This use a catalag products that belong to other database. When I createad the second database that use the table that belong to first I did: create table invoices (...) in "/usr/data/sales.dbs/invoices.dat" where the path "/usr/data/sales.dbs/invoices.dat" es the same table privously created by the first database. I backuped up the original table for avoid destroing and createing the second one I recover it. All the databases was createad by same user and all have the same owner. My problem is: This work ok but sometines when the I tried to access a row I get the message error "Table (invoices) has been dropped, altered o renamed" No ever happen What would be the problem.
