I hope nobody has put too much effort into coding around this, because I just spent quite a bit of time recently convincing R&D to put it back to the way it used to work. This change in the RUN command was due to a reported bug (#10045) that when the RUN command was issued from a window, it only cleared the screen the first time. R&D's "fix" was to clear the screen every time, including when you didn't have a window open. As you all know now, this caused some problems for people whose applications had been written with versions which had this "bug" and were used to the screen NOT clearing. R&D has agreed to change the fix so that it NEVER clears the screen, on the premise that if the programmer really wanted the screen to clear, he could always put the CLEAR SCREEN command in himself. This new fix will be in all the 4.11 ports, due out sometime the first half of this year. Incidentally, I am surprised so many people are complaining about this, since my understanding was that the fix didn't make it into any portmaster (meaning every platform) until 4.10.UE1. No platforms should have had it in 4.10.UD1, and only some platforms in versions like 4.10.UD3. Which version of 4GL is everyone running?
