RE: Hardware for Informix Ver 10
Posted in 2006
Hi,
We're in process of upgrading to ids10 on server 2003.
1. With Server 2003 standard edition you can only use maximum of 4Gb
RAM on machine, Enterprise Edition lets you go up to what the
motherboard supports (i think?).
2. With standard server we were able to get ids10 to use around 2.7Gb
(with 4Gb ram installed), a couple of windows dll's and the onbar dll's
had to be rebased so as to get a large enough continuous segment of
memory for IDS.
