Here's the scoop: A minimum 5 Authorized User (AU) License of ODS Workgroup Edition (WGE) is about $1,860.00 or Express Edition (Ex) would be $775 or a minimum 5 Concurrent Session (CS) license would be $2,420 for WGE (no CS licensing for IDS Ex). The Parallel Performance Feature (not available to Express Edition licenses), which was included in the 7.10 days, adds $900 to the WGE AU license ($2,760 total) or $1,175 to the WGE CS license ($3,595 total). The minimum for Enterprise Edition (EE) is 100 PVU 25 AU's at $24,875 or 10 Concurrent Sessions (CS) at $21,900 Processor Value Unit pricing for IDS Ex is $5,175 for a single dual core Intel box (100 PVU), WE is $10,600 and EE $51,500. So, the equivalent license to the announced IDS 7.10 license, 5 CSs or AUs, is cheaper, even with the Parallel Performance Feature added, if you don't need the remaining Enterprise Edition Features most of which were not available in 7.10.
