I've had a number of replies talking about writing C code functions and compiling up a bespoke ace program. I'm afraid to say that you've missed the point (sorry jonhl, I know you know you did). What I'm taling about is some thing along the lines of: ... FIRST PAGE HEADER PRINT "Some stuff..." LET... # initialise some variables CALL print_titiles() PAGE HEADER CALL print_titles() FUNCTION print_titles() PRINT "REPORT DATE: ", CURRENT YEAR TO MINUTE PRINT PRINT "THIS THAT THE OTHER" PRINT ... I know that this is a trivial example but it illustrates the point. ---------------------------------------------------- These opinions are mine; if you want them, take them ---------------------------------------------------- Stuart Hemming | shemminga@cix.compulink.co.uk The Data Base | +(44) 1602 250005 Nottingham UK | ----------------------------------------------------
