Alenjandro. I use two instance in my server is easy to bring up. I can help you but I prefer if you could read database adminstrator manual. Have you ever set up a intance before? What kind the protocol do you use to connect you users? What are you named the devices for new instance? 1- have to make a copy the sqlhosts to sqlhosts.newintance. 2- Change the envioroment Export INFORMIXSQLHOSTS=sqlhosts.newinstance Export INFORMIXSERVER=newinstance 3- use onmonitor for setup the new instance. Change the rootdbs devices to new instance devices Change the servernumber, severname Add the nettype.
