He sure is. We have never had to do that for tables where proper
primary keys have been defined. You do have to do that if you have a
table where there is no primary key and/or the corresponding unique
index is created automatically by the definition of the primary key.
When we do as I said before, create the unique index first, then use
alter table to define the primary key, we have never had a problem. Ifyou do it may be a bad ODBC driver or something else. I do of course
assume you have read the FAQ (under "Third party products") and have
read the suggested white paper and are therefor using a good ODBC
driver, not some crappy one.
