Some OS can panic after allocating too many shared memory segments, database needs to have the shared memory segments changed. Wayne E. Segment locked Fellas, A peculiar crash has just occured on one of my servers. From what I can see, Informix tried to allocate a segment and then the machine just rebooted itself. Last two lines in Informix log read something like this: ..Requested memory segment... ..Segment locked ... There is no af file or anything of that sort. There is no indication of a problem (apart from apparent init message sequence) in system log file either. The environment is Solaris 2.6 on E10000 , IDS 7.31 UC4 I'm logging it with both Sun and Informix, meanwhile, may be someone can remember a similar problem from the top of the head... All ideas are most welcome.. Thanks Ilya Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
