FW: QUES: Function Key/terminfo problem
Posted in 1995
I am using a Xterm for Windows on my PC and I have the same problem. I
know in xterm you have to use a special key mapping to send keystrokes from
the xterm host to the client and vise versa, and then the termcap is
involved.
Unfortunately all of my function keys are off by one. So for now I just
grin and
bear it. I am pretty sure that all my keys are mapped correctly, but
something
has to be wrong someplace. Anyway, sorry I dont' have a solution, but you
ain't alone.

I'm having some trouble with function keys using 4gl code.
The hardware platform is an IBM 7010 X term with a RS/6K hosts. In my 4gl
code
I have an ON KEY ( F3 ) and when running the app. the F2 key activates the
ON KEY command. This occurs with all F# keys with F#-1 activating it.
Related environment varibales are:
TERM=aixterm
INFORMIXTERM=terminfo
I've tried to remap the function keys with tic, but it doesn't seem to do
anything.
Any suggestions??
Many thanks in advance.
