Re: Initializing IDS in RedHat 6.2

Hate to but in... yea, sure I do 8-)
Is this a trick question...
The truth is... IF (notice the big if) you attempt
to use applications written to use Glibc 2.1.1
AND (notice the big and) are useing Redhat 6.2
then YES there is a cpmpatibility issue.
Only in so much, that one has not choosen the
proper Glibc or either have not (or can not)
re-compile the application to use the newer Glibc.
The one's who have had issues (see deja "glibc")
appear to have been attempting to install from
Redhat 6.2 (Glibc 2.1.2) yet their esqlc was
from the old linux_se_... package.
Be sure you download the correct Client SDK (Intraware)
as their are two (2) versions for linux (2 different Glibc)
So is there an issue... only if you want one.
