RE: OnBar and IBM ADSM

We found that the following steps were necessary for OnBar to locate = the ADSM API modules. 1. Define the symbolic link between the ADSM X/Open library name and = the ON-Bar X/Open=20 library name to enable data passing. a. For IDS 7.3 software, link the existing ADSM API X/OPEN library to = the=20 ON-BAR X/OPEN library. ln -s /usr/lpp/adsm/api/bin/libXApi.a /usr/lib/ibsad001.a Note: The ibsad001.a file, the ON-BAR X/OPEN library name, DOES = NOT exist in the /usr/lib directory until you execute the above link command. b. For IDS 7.3 software, identify and extract the object(s) from the = shared library. =B7 List contents of the library with: ar -v -t /usr/lpp/adsm/api/bin/libXApi.a =B7 Extract contents of the library with: ar -x /usr/lpp/adsm/api/bin/libXApi.a =B7 Change ownership of the object file: chown bin.bin /usr/lpp/adsm/api/bin/bsashr10.o c. Add to the $ONCONFIG file: BAR_BSALIB_PATH /usr/lpp/adsm/api/bin/bsashr10.o -----Original Message----- From: Doug Agnew [mailto:dagnew@charlottepipe.com] Sent: Friday, March 26, 1999 6:07 AM To: informix-list@iiug.org Subject: Re: OnBar and IBM ADSM Vic, the /usr/lib/..... is the name that OnBar is looking for.
