Re: console log / UNIX

Evelyn, Check your $ONCONFIG file. Usually the console log defaults to your Unix console, meaning it was there and now it's gone. You can for future use, log you console messages to a file, e.g. /online/console.log. Maybe your predecessor did just this. Those messages are, however, not so informative as the online.log file messages. If there were problems, as for example in an initialization, you may find some files of interest in your /tmp directory which may also be referred to in the online.log. HTH. I need to go back to Oct. 4th and find the error messages that day. The informix online.log does not give me the info I am looking for. > > Thanks, > Eve >
