The reasoning that I managed to make out on my own is =20 that if you look at the DBMS drop down list box when setting up the =20 connection profile, you noticed that the only selection for informix is = =20 IN 5.x Informix. Hence, the informix IN 5.x will always be searching =20 for the pbin5050.dll when connecting to your informix database. Try =20 that out as it works in our environment after the change. If it does =20 not, then I'll recommend that you revert the situation back. I've seen that in PB 6.0 you're allowed to connect both using INFORMIX =20 5.x and INFORMIX 7.x. =20 Okay that's all and if there is anything that I can help out with just = =20 e-mail me. Why can't it work without any =20 "renaming" if PB supports both. I'll check with our pbinxxx.dll files. Now, our application is running =20 fine with Informix 7, but the PB vendor says it won't work and the Informix vendor says it might contain bugs. I hope they are not just trying to sell a new version.
