Hi, I'm using an ODBC-Connection to an Informix Database in my ASP's. (Informix CLI 2.5 32 Bit) When I'm trying to open a connection (Conn.Open ...), the following error occurs: [ODBC... unable to load locale categories). I found an article in the Microsoft KB (http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q166/4/41.ASP?LN=EN-US&SD=SO&FR=0). So I created the registry keys but now there is another error: ...unknown Informix username %s... Does anbody know what to do in this situation? Thanks, Alex
Try the ODBC connesction first. You can do it with the ilogin demo that come with informix drivers. Remember to update the services file adding : sqlexec 1525/tcp Try your connection with ms-access also. Alexander, Make sure that INFORMIXDIR is set (for example to C:\\INFORMIX) and $INFORMIX/bin is in your PATH. Of course, there are few environment variables / registry keys to play with (FM), but the above is mandatory for any client app. Sometimes (in case of mess) I-CLI/CSDK reinstallation might help. The ODBC Connection works with Access and Visual Interdev. It seems to me that the Username of the IIS (HOST_IWAM) is the Problem.
